Stick Walker

I have to admit I do not know what the name of this "creature" is...My husband called it a stick walker! Sounds like a fitting name to me. I just can't believe this is a living insect/animal/whatever...I mean look at the size of it! It is a work of art!

We always called it a Walking Stick. I've always been fascinated by those and the Praying Mantis.

Actually, I think it's a praying mantis isn't it? It's green like one. I thought a walking stick was brown, just like a stick..but, what do I know? ha! He's cute, what ever he is!

It's a praying mantis - I always thought it was prEying mantis, but it's actually prAying mantis! I think it's funny how their butts drag the ground, too - what butt they do have, anyway! hehehe

If it's a praying mantis, it's a skinny one. The praying mantis in the wikipedia picture has a much fatter body and fatter legs.
