Cream Puffs and Chocolate Rocks

My husband and I rarely go shopping together. That is strictly my department except for his annual Christmas trip to Sam's. He loves going through the store and putting items in his buggy. I usually ask him, "who is that for?" His reply, "I don't know, I'll figure that out later". I remember one year he was putting crock pots in the buggy....like 7 of them. I said what in the world are you going to do with those crock pots....his answer....I think I'll give my brothers and sisters one!

Anyway, Sunday was his day to shop, so off to Sam's we went. Me with tissues and cough drops but I couldn't miss the fun of the day.

The sample taste tables were on every aisle. You can eat a meal just tasting at Sam's, and it is not all shall I say healthy.....
First came the cream puffs which were delicious and he threw a box in the buggy.

I went my own way after that to look at books and movies. Evidently there was a table of Chocolate Rocks...and various chocolate covered nuts..
Just like M & M's only made with better chocolate was the story he fell for....sure there is a chocolate better than Hershey's????
After questioning him on the purchase of rocks and nuts, I had to taste and yes they are very, very good. I'll pass on the chocolate cashews but have no doubt they will be eaten during the holidays
.

Last night while we were watching the season finale of The Biggest Loser, he made the comment that he had not eaten any of the cream puffs yet. I said, what do you mean, we can't sit here and eat cream puffs while this in on....it's just not right! Jillian would jump out of the TV if we did that!!!
This brings me to a question. WHY did Jillian wear that white pant suit with big black belt and her hair in a ponytail for the finale? She has a body that women dream of and she wears that.....Did she just not want to steal their thunder? Oh well, it was a great season and I am so proud for all of the contestants. They looked great.

9 Days til Christmas!!

I love those cream puffs from Sam's!

If it makes you feel any better, I was eating chocolate during the Biggest Loser. Whoops :) I know - I'm not sure why Jillian wore that! It didn't look quite right on her.

No Sam's in Italy or Antigua or Trinidad. Kind of miss it at this time of year- can't beat it for bargains even if you don't need them!

LOL! You are too funny about not eating the cream puffs while watching The Biggest Loser! I just so happen to have been at a party last night that served those very cream puffs! LOL! And, for cream puffs, they are pretty darn tasty! I haven't seen the chocolate rocks yet! That's more up my alley!

And, YES, the baby food isle is not the same (and the jars are smaller)!! I always loved the bananas. ;)

Sounds like you are feeling better, Nanny... Sniff--Sniff..... Take care and don't have a relapse...

We love to nibble at Sam's --but usually just nibble and then move on ... You are right... One can eat an entire meal FREE of charge there.

The Chocolate Rocks do look good though.
Hugs,
Betsy

LOL! Sams is a dangerous place for me. Candy..in bulk! I just don't like how you can't get out under $100 with only a few things in your cart. UGH!

Man, I couldn't tell you how many times we've had dinner or dessert while the Biggest Loser was on. And we felt guilty ever time! LOL!

I gotta tell you, I would have bought the Chocolate Rocks, too. Points for being clever!
