What's For Breakfast?

I'm not a breakfast person......I try but I just don't enjoy eating anything until 9:00 or 9:30. Coffee makes me content in the morning. When my hunger pain finally strikes, I've been eating a grapefruit. The season for these beauties runs from October to June.

They are exceptionally juicy this year and oh so sweet. I love a little salt on top. If you like grapefruit, I urge you to buy a big bag while they are so good!

Nanny, you are so healthy!! I love my peanut butter on toast almost EVERY morning. I try to switch myself to oatmeal with blueberries... but, I always end up back with my PB. Those are WONDERFUL grapefruit! Love 'em. Just don't discipline myself to eat 'em. Hope you have a great day.

I do not eat early in the morning either. I adore black, hot coffee early, early in the morning. Right now I have been using my juicer to make grapefruit and pineapple juice around 9:00 .

I've been eating grapefruit, too. But I do mine with sugar on top. Salt on my watermelon and apples, but sugar on the grapefruit.

I love to eat grapefruit, after my breakfast. My Dad has grapefruit and orange trees in his yard, so I have a plentiful supply.

I love ruby red grapefruits! I aprinkle sugar on mine :)

Did you know if a person is taking Lipitor, or any statin for that matter, that they should not eat grapefruits as they interfere with drug absorption? Just thought I'd mention that as a public service announcement ..lol!

I think I've gotten rid of the pop-up ads now... Several people emailed me last week & said that my blog was really slow & the ads were becoming a pain... so I got on a blogger forum & one of the blogger guys told me to get rid of the slideshows at the bottom of my page, so I did & it worked! Everyone says my page is loading much faster now & no pop-up ads!!! YaY! =)

I do love grapefruit (with sugar on it) but I take a medication that warns against eating grapefruit when taking the medication. So now I cannot eat one of my favorite fruits. But I do love clementines and had some great, tasty ones early this winter. I do not like to eat breakfast as soon as I get up but like a cup of coffee then I have a bowl of oatmeal with craisins or nuts in it.

I LOVE grapefruit ~ and I definitely put salt on it! Just can't eat it though between a statin drug and my tummy & acid. :-( Looks delish and wish I had one right now.
