Preoccupied

I cannot sit still long enough to compose my thoughts.
I have been moving at fast forward speed lately.
I can't get everything done.
Truth be told there is no reason for me to be in such a state!

Monday morning I am having the dreaded knee surgery!  I think I will make it fine but can't help but be anxious.  I don't like the thought of anesthesia.  I will really miss my morning coffee....oh, how I will miss it!

Carrie and Lila will be here to pamper me.....for which I am so thankful.  Maybe Lila will read  to me next week. She has her books memorized and loves to have story time. Holds them up and shows you the pages, just like school.

Speaking of books, I am reading a fascinating one by Stephen King:

It is so good, I just want to sit and read all day (if I could sit still)
The book references watershed moments, "a crucial turning point affecting actions, opinions, etc". King takes readers on a incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

I haven't read a Stephen King book in years and I am really loving this one.

You have to have surgery next week? Oh Nanny, I'm sorry... I hope everything goes good!!!

I completely agree w/ the 'crap' comment... why do they insist on change soooo stinkin much? It's ridiculous!!!

After I posted that, I'm now having a change in opinion... I really don't care about it cuz I have a list at the bottom of my blog of all the blogs i wanna visit, so i really don't even need the 'followers' list...

Take it easy w/ surgery coming up!

Hi Nanny,

I saw your comment about Theme Thursday over on Betsy's site. I hope you will come back and check us out again. I became the new host a little while back and first thing I did was to change it back to Thursday. I post the new Theme on Sunday mornings and then add Mr Linky sometime after 9 pm on Wednesday night PST which is Thursday on the East Coast. So everyone is back to Thursday's. I still get a few who try to post early and also who post late. The early ones just have to wait for Mr Linky and the late ones catch on fairly quickly.

Anyway I am trying to make it more challenging and hopefully to where everyone has a fun experience while playing along.

Hope your surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery.

God bless.

Best of luck with your surgery. I sometimes think that the beforehand anxious time is worse than the actual procedure.

I would almost sign up for an arthroscopy to get to have Amanda and the Little Men come stay with me for awhile!! ;)

You will do so well, Nanny. You are active and motivated. You'd be amazed how far that can get you post-op. You're the kind of patient everyone loves to have. BTW, the nail polish thing is to check the color of your nail beds to be sure you are getting enough oxygen... but, they use pulse oximeters now... so I think it could be one of those old sacred cow rules.

Enjoy your company and TAKE IT EASY! I know that's going to be a challenge for you. blessings ~ tanna

I haven't read Stephen King in a super long time since one of his books gave me nightmares.

Good luck with your knee surgery. I have several friends who had them and were happy with it. The anesthesia really isn't anything to worry about. One minute you're out and the next, it's all over. :-)

Sorry about the knee surgery... good excuse to read though. My sister had her knee replaced... man that was a big deal. Still is... hope you recover fast. The book sounds great.
