I really hate to be a Debbie Downer......
I am not a pessimistic person......
My glass is always half full.......
Life Is Good........
BUT.......
This is getting me down.....
And then you add THIS to the picture......
Brown Arkansas = Persist or intensify!
Spring and summer are my seasons. Well they use to be my seasons. To see every living plant, grass, and trees dry up and die is depressing me very much. I don't know how to snap out of this state of mind. Suggestions?
I hope you all have a Happy and Safe 4th of July. I'll be staying inside, I don't like 100+ winds, no sir!

Well, it's been raining today in Hawaii. Hope the weather clears up tomorrow so we can BBQ some steaks.
I am so sorry for that terribly hot weather you've been getting. I hope your state will stay away from fireworks with that kind of drought conditions. Hawaii is thankfully lessening its private fireworks use.
we've had a bit of a cold front here in Texas...below 100 all week...hope you find something to snap you out of it...it is so hard seeing everything so dry and brown...my garden is starting to fade out except for the okra...
I admit it is hard to watch everything dry up and dry. Hope it rains soon...very soon!
You are having our summer from last year. Oh, it is devastating to watch everything turn brown and die. We have had enough rain to be okay so far this year, but I cringe that there are at least two more months that things can get really bad again. My heart goes out to you, Nanny. {hugs} tanna
Not to be flippant in the face of devastation, but come and visit Italy!
God help us!
That doesn't look good at all... I read somewhere that July is going to be HOT & DRY, August will be better, but it's going to get bad again in September in our area! The long-term forecast is better looking, so I gotta keep that in mind...
The other day you said the ground was crunchy when you walk across the grass there... it is here, now, too... not good
I take back the 6 month comment, last night they said it has been the hottest 12 months in history!
