Spot Light

I love the way the sun can be a spot light.
This morning it chose the huge old tree to be it's subject.
This tree is so beautiful in every season.  Green to gold to finally brown.
This year has been tough on it.  It went from green to brown in a matter of weeks.
I think the sun and this tree were having a conversation about the situation.

Oh, that is so cool...it really did spotlight it! It's beautiful even without leaves!

Beautiful photo but a sad story... I hate what the weather and drought has done to so many of our big shade trees this year. We won't know what the lasting effects will be for awhile--but I worry.

Hugs,
Betsy

I love to chase those shots also! Nicely done.

BTW, go to "Comments" on Blogger home and mark Anonymous' spam as Spam to block it! I did the same today :-)

There's a maple tree at my parent's farm & one fall evening I got some shots where the sun was shining down on it like that in all that fall color glory! I love it when God shows off! LoL! =)

Strange that that tree is brown and leafless and the other trees aren't!

Ha! That is a lovely photo. My poor plants are really suffering this year. Even the ones that have survived years and years have succumbed to the extreme temperatures this summer. I'm ready to start getting rid of all the dead ones and starting fresh to bring back some life to my balcony. I think the birds would like that, too. :) Happy mid-week to you. Tammy
