Crock Pot Dressing
With Thanksgiving fastly approaching, it's time to start thinking about our menu. This dressing is so moist and tasty, I thought I would share it this week on Crock Pot Wednesday. Debbie is our sponsor and is also having a giveaway this week so hop over and join in. You can make your cornbread ahead of time and put all in the crock pot early in the morning, leaving the oven for turkey, pies, casseroles, etc
1 pan corn bread
8 slices day old bread (or whatever you have on hand, rolls, buns, biscuits)
4 eggs
1 med. onion - chopped
1/2 cup celery - chopped
1 1/2 T sage
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cans chicken broth
2 T oleo (or butter) ha
2 cans cream of chicken soup
Crumble bread - add all other ingredients except butter. Pour into crock pot and dot with butter. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 - 5 hours.
I am so hungry for dressing, I don't know if I can wait until Thanksgiving to have it.
Have a good evening all.

My mouth is watering. I can vouch for this recipe, it is the best!
Sounds soooo yummy!
What do you mean OR butter?? LOL! Is there really anything other than butter?? This sounds great. I love the fact you can free up some oven space. Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday!
Dressing...yum! I could actually skip the turkey and have seconds on the dressing and be perfectly happy! LOL!
Yummy! I love dressing! It is usually my day after Thanksgiving breakfast. I never thought of cooking it in the crockpot, thanks for the idea!
What a GREAT!!! idea. Dressing in the slow cooker this will free up some space for the holiday meals. THANKS!! Geri
Sounds yummy. I'm not too good at making dressing. I guess that's why I usually use Stove Top and add some English walnuts chopped.
P.S. Gave you an award, you can pick it up here. But read the whole thing, I don't want anyone playing that doesn't want to.
