Can't Keep A Good Flower Down!!

Here they come!!!

Bursting from the ground to announce......Spring is coming!!!! I love Jonquils! I love how hearty they are....one week ago they were covered in snow and ice and as soon as it melted, they popped up! There is a field next to our home that was covered in Jonquils when we moved here. Now almost all of them are in my yard. I dug, transplanted and now have a great bed of beautiful yellow to start my spring! The bulbs from an old homeplace or fence row that have been growing for many years produce the healthiest flowers you will ever find. Just dig the entire clump, down deep below the bulb and plant them to your hearts desire. I needed a stronger arm for some of them, cause the roots run pretty deep on the older ones. I love finding these beauties for free!!! When they bloom I'll share just how pretty they are with you. The last two years we have had snow when my Jonquils bloom....hope we have that stuff behind us for this year!!!

Have a good evening all!

OH MY!!!! Wonderful! There is hope for Spring! I think we may have a ways to go before we see spring flowers but I will live happily a few days having seen yours!

I planted jonquils all through our woods and in clumps all around! I CANNOT wait to see them come up this year!

Right now, even with warmer temps and some rain, everything is still snow covered. I don't think we'll see grass for some time. Enjoy them.

I keep looking for signs of spring everywhere I go, but it's not here yet. I think we'll be about a month behind if last year was any indicator. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy your spring. =)
