Me and My Candles!

I am a total pushover for a good candle. I admit it, I have no willpower when a good smelling candle is on display. I buy it without a second thought. I needed to replenish my votives, so I made a trip to my local Hallmark store. I always buy Yankee; they smell as good burning as they do in the plastic wrap. I intend to run in, buy several vanilla votives and leave. Sounds simple uh? I leave without fail with several scents....Buttercream, French Vanilla, Lavender Vanilla, and of course they always have a new scent that I must have....today it was Strawberry Buttercream!
And then as I checkout....a new display caught my attention....Coffee you say....Oh my! After smelling every flavor, I chose Hazelnut! Not Yankee but very good!!!!

How good is the packaging? Would that one not captured your attention? Great job Fragrant Package!!!

What's your favorite scent? I was totally hooked on Vanilla Lime,,,not to be found...bummer.

There is a mixture of rain and "white flakes" falling.....hoping for the rain to win the battle (not looking too good)! It has taken a week for the previous white flakes to melt!!!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.....

Nanny

I love Yankee candles, too. In fact, I just lit one - French Vanilla. It's always a classic.

I can't believe you're getting more snow!!! This is CRAZY!

Is the baby powder candle you and Solar were telling me about a Yankee kind, too?

Our daughters all love candles, and three of them burn them all the time. We don't burn any here, one reason they seem to bother Abe's asthma, and another, I can't smell them anyway. But I hear the girls talking about the different scents. My mother has this thing she lays wax pieces on and the light bulb under it, it's like a little tin container with cut outs, makes the candle wax pieces melt and it in turn scents the room, but again, like I said, I can't smell them.

Enjoy your candles.

I like Yankee candles too, Nanny. I like the seasonal scent like pumpkin pie and balsam. For spring I look for floral..rose, gardenia, lilac. I love anything with lavender. "Clean cotton" is another good fresh scent.

Fun candles. I love to try new scents but often come back to the old ...cinnamon...cloves.

We too are expecting more snow through the night. I am torn...I love it yet long for some spring like temps.

I love the smell of candles. Spicy scents in the winter and clean, fresh scents when the weather warms up.

I love candles too and almost always have at least one burning. I use a tart burner and burn Yankee Candle tarts. So sorry to tell you this but, I like every fragrance EXCEPT vanilla...or anything with vanilla fragrance in it. Guess that's what makes the world go 'round...isn't it?!

Was reading down through some of your posts and I saw that you were making egg salad for the very first time! I was raised on it here in NC, so I couldn't believe it! How did you like it??
