Party, Poppers, Power Outage!

Congratulations to the Saints for a great game! Did Drew Brees not steal your heart holding his precious little boy and those big tears in his eyes?

We had a fun, fun party with lots of friends over and I made my first ever Jalapeno Poppers. I relied on Pioneer Woman of course....in her cookbook, the recipe is BBQ Jalapeno Poppers. I even got some Paula added to the recipe; used her great sauce to brush on each one! I did not heed PW's helpful hint: make three times more than you think you'll need. Trust me! I regret this.....I didn't have nearly enough...they were gone way too fast!

I couldn't drag my tired self out of the bed this morning, but when I did I was shocked to see this beautiful sight.....

When I got up all I wanted was a big cup of hot coffee, just as I reached for the switch to turn ON....the power went out....OH NO...I don't do well without coffee!!
About 90 minutes later, power came on and I flipped the switch....whew!

Have a good day all!

COFFEE! Gotta have it. Glad you got yours. Based on your snow photo you need POWER! We are suppose to get more snow tonight. I don't mind and would LOVE the kids to have a delay or snow day TOMORROW!

We are HUGE Colts fans here so sad that they did not pull off the win! BUT, even we Colts fans can appreciate sweet Drew! We partied long and hard with a house-full of people. LOVE SUPER BOWL FOOD! ;)

OH! And your poppers are the prettiest I have EVER seen!

So glad you didn't have to go long without power and coffee. I do wish you'd send some of that snow our way. We haven't had a really good snow since March of 1993. Talked to my son in Little Rock this morning, and he said the snow was totally unexpected.

What a great picture and so proud to see the mickey mouse ears on him to protect the hearing. A 90 minute delay on your coffee is never a good thing. The snow is beautiful. Have a great night!

No power, on a Monday morning!? Not a good way to start the week. Hope the rest of the week is uneventful.

The snow is beautiful!
