Wonderland!

The sunrise this morning was the start of a beautiful day. The blue sky and the rays on the snow was nothing short of breathtaking. I wish I could capture the real beauty and share it with you. It is just impossible...for me anyway.

The birds were out early and have eaten nonstop for 2 days...One sleeve of thistle and 20 pounds of sunflower seeds since Friday. If you are looking for your birds, I think they are at my house.....

These two pictures give you a clue as to the depth.....for Arkansas this is alot of snow...especially central Arkansas.

It was in the 20's today but I couldn't stay indoors....I just wanted to get out and see as much of this as I could. I have always heard...If you don't like the weather in Arkansas, wait a minute! This beauty won't last long. I guess we are lucky in that respect, I wouldn't want this for weeks. A few days are plenty. Just long enough to ohhh and ahhh then it's gone! Early this morning the highways were all iced over and by 10:00 am, mostly dry with some slush.

A long walk in deep snow is a good workout. Trixie stayed with me the whole time except she ran as I walked...needless to say she is sound asleep now....doesn't sound half bad to me! ha

Have a good evening all!

Nanny

Wow! What a beautiful winter wonderland! Nanny, I just so love that you get excited and out and about! LOL! Lots of us might be huddled in front of the fire missing out! Thank you so much for showing us the beauty!

You got some great photos! SO MUCH SNOW...we have a LOT more than what is normal to our region. We love it and it is beautiful.

Our birds are SO HUNGRY...so hard to find food with so much snow. We sprinkled seed on our front porch so we could peek at them through the windows.

Stay warm.
