My computer at the office is very, very sick.
I was so impressed with the commencement address Steve Jobs made and wanted to print it to read and reread!!! I googled it and as it printed.....virus attacked! I think that is just awful! People with way too much time on their hands wrote such a program.
So I pushed the button:
They removed the virus....I worked with Century Link to log on again, (hours), installed new virus protection, (more hours), restarted computer and BAM, virus attack!!!
Presently pushing the button again!
Warning.....don't google Steve Jobs....and don't print his impressive speech! I'll mail you a copy if you want!

Sorry, Nanny.... I cannot understand why people do that! Hope you get it fixed soon.
Congrats to your Razorbacks. They look awesome.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh no -- I hate when this happens! It is so devious when hackers attach viruses to web links. A good updated security program is so important. Hope your office computer will be virus free very soon, Nanny.
How frustrating! I hope everything is working ok now.
p.s.
I had a working virus protection program when this happened! It wiped it out as part of the damage.
that is terrible...what is wrong with people...
What a hassle and I can't believe that it wiped out your anti-virus program, too! That is scary. Hope everything is fixed now.
Had a similar experience but my anti- virus protection held and it's especially vicious to attach a virus to such an important Steve jobs speech that so many want after his death.
I don't understand the purpose of creating a virus that would attack someone's computer. How in the world does it benefit the person creating it? My youngest son says don't go to websites that aren't .com or .org. I honestly don't understand any of this virus business. He asked me if it was a malware or a Trojan? Huh! I don't use any virus protection on my little laptop and so far so good for the past year. I am careful about where I go and what I open though. My kids are always getting viruses on their computer, but I don't do Facebook or any of that type of social networking. Just my little ol' blog. Hope you get everything sorted out. Best wishes, Tammy
Terrible. Good luck to you, Nanny!
I admired Steve Jobs so much, though I don't own any of his products.
Oh, my goodness! You have to wonder why those people don't have anything better to do with their lives. I'm sure such energy could do some good in the world instead of being destructive! What kind of anti-virus program did you have that didn't work??? Glad the 'easy' button really works. ;) blessings ~ tanna
SOOOOOOOO frustrating!!!!!!! Hope you have seen the END of it!
That is just crazy!!!
I hate it when something like that happens...
we have 2 computers...hubbies is sick...and probably will be for awhile..sad...mine is a mini Mac and it has been slow... and annoying. Oh well... remember dial up days??? Now that was slow.
I'm a bit late getting through some posts. I hope you have everything back in working order by now.
I have picked up a lot of viruses going to sites looking for resources to prepare small group studies at church. I am totally befuddled why someone would do such a thing?
Oh...and your Razorbacks....I'm so envious!!! : )
Oh no...how awful. I cannot imagine what drives people to create viruses that destroy or mess up others computers. Too bad they wouldn't put their energy into helping out people who need it...hope the problem has been solved. My daughter suggested I read Steve Jobs speech as she found it very inspiring, and if she does at the tender age of 20 it must be wonderful!
its really good to see your post, well done
I know what you mean about these horrible people... why can't people put that much interest, energy and concern into doing SOMETHING GOOD??? Why? I know we're not suppose to hate, but man, oh man... Get a life, people!!!
Hope your computer is better soon
