Hot, Hot, Hot

It's beginning to look like fall!! But it isn't!! This is June in Arkansas! The leaves are rapidly turning gold then brown. The drought continues. We had a shower 4 or 5 weeks ago (I forget the date).

The grass crunches when you walk on it.

The forecast doesn't offer any relief.
Thursday - 106
Friday - 106
Saturday - 104
Sunday - 100

My prayer is that no fires are carelessly started. Hot and dry, we can survive. The awful fires that Colorado is experiencing is another story.

The local sale barn has been filled with cattle from this area.  The hay fields have all dried up forcing the ranchers to sell.  Sad!

Stay cool folks!

Hawaii never goes above 90 degrees, thank goodness. Lately, it's been around 85 degrees at midday, and low 70s at night. Very pleasant.

My goodness gracious, it isn't that bad here, yet... I didn't realize it had gotten that bad there... I'm so sorry!

I just read a girl's blog from Ireland that they're experiencing the wettest June since 1860... we're frying alive here & they're drowning over there...
except Florida & they're drowning down there, too... over 20 inches of rain! Can you believe that!

Good Dallas episode last night... keeps me on the edge of my seat =)

Flooding in and around my home town. Fires in CO. It's a scary time. I will lift up prayers for rain for you, my friend.

We're hitting 100 today here in Ohio! We need rain, too!

It's just awful. Dallas is used to this kind of weather but not Bentonville and Denver!

I just read GigiHawaii's comment and asked myself why on God's green earth do I live in Arkansas when paradise such as Hawaii exists?

This horrible heat wave has even hit US --even though we are 2000 feet up on the Cumberland Plateau. Usually 90 degrees is the hottest we get. Right now it's 95-98 degrees HERE depending upon which thermometer you believe. This is the first time since I started feeding the birds several years ago that the suet is MELTING... Gads!!!!

It's pretty miserable --and we are also VERY dry... It's horrible.
Hugs,
Betsy

This weather is crazy! In St. Louis it was 108, which broke a record from 1936.

Our grass is crunchy too!

Oh yikes! That sounds awful. My daughter has been complaining of the heat in Illinois too. My granddaughter is spending all her time in the sprinkler.

Oh my goodness, you certainly do need rain and I hope you get some soon.

It looks just like that at my house. There was a wildfire a few miles away yesterday but thankfully they were able to contain it. Fireworks have been outlawed but the fireworks stands are still open so there will be stupid people who will shoot them anyway. Praying for rain! blessings, marlene

Oh, Nanny. We were just like that last year. So far, this year has been kinder. There are still so many trees from last year that everyone had "hoped" might pull through that are just dead. Saddest thing I've ever seen in terms of summer heat and drought. I will keep y'all in my prayers. blessings ~ tanna

Oh, my! The reports from so many parts of the country are drastic with disastrous consequences in some places. Prayers to you and your neighbors for cooling and rain.
