Smoothie

I couldn't pass this fruit up as I cruised the frozen food section. It just was such a good blend; strawberry, mango, pineapple plus frozen yogurt pieces. This morning I got out my Magic Bullet, added 1/2 cup of 2% milk, 1/2 package fruit, and threw in a scoop of Jillian's protein powder for good measure and WOW.....very good smoothie!

The only drawback is the price of the fruit. It was approximately $1. per serving. I don't know if the yogurt pieces made the flavor, or just the fruit, because it was really good. I'm gonna check out the price of large bags of frozen mixed fruit and compare, cause I think I could get hooked on smoothies! (plus I'm going to have Jillian abs in no time)!!!

Now that I have you laughing.....have a good day!

I need to get out my Smoothie machine for the summer months. Love having those for bkfst! I buy frozen berries and then use about 1/2 cup then some yogurt and some milk or juice, even a banana. Are the whey protein shakes good?

So are you working out to go along with the protein powder?? (o:

I made the Taco Bake you posted about.
I never seemed to have everything...I kept waiting till I got one more ingredient.
I thought I was all set...one kid napping and no way to go to store.
Sooo
I only had 8oz of chees and it wasn't cheddar
I only had half of an onion
I was so made I did not have a can of chilies...I thought I did
so I used a can of rotel
It was good...
but I wish I would have fried the tortillas
they were mushy after sitting so long...I just was trying to cut on some greasy calories
anyway it was good (o:

We tried those smoothies, too. I liked everything but the price. So darn expensive I thought.

I tried these also and they are delicious! They are kind of pricey though.

Dang, Nanny! You are looking all so healthy; makes me feel bad about the chocolate covered almonds I just scarffed down! LOL! I love Monster Milk protein powder, too! Just because I love it doesn't mean I don't choose junk over it. =/

Hi Nanny, Do you have a nearby Sam's Club??? You can get large bags of mixed fruit at Sam's....

We make Smoothies with a cup of some kind of yogurt, some kind of fruit (whatever we have on hand--strawberries, bananas, blueberries, etc.), some Orange (or another flavor) Crystal Light drink, some Splenda and then Ice. Blend it all together --and it's wonderful and quite filling---and it's fairly low in calories.

Hugs,
Betsy
