Sock Feeder

I'm not sure who likes the new feeder more.....me or the finches!  Usually I buy a sock feeder and when it is empty I throw it away....I have bought many in a season!!!  This year TSC had this neat refillable feeder, and believe me I have to fill it at least every other day. They do love thistle. I love to watch the finches cover the feeder they are so beautiful.  And then the fly up into the tree and make the sweetest little chirps.

Have a great day all!

I'm glad you like the song on my blog... Stranger on the Shore... I heard it on someone else's blog the other day & had to have it! Do you know anymore songs like it... I just wanna soak up as much of that type of music as I can... It's sooo beautiful! =) Did you hear the song after that one? It's really good, too!

Thanks again

Nanny - you get the best wildlife/nature photos. These finches are gorgeous - definitely worth getting thistle refills over and over again just to see! Thank you for sharing.

Hope you have a happy Easter!

No colorful little birdies in my corner of the world. That feeder can feed so many at one time. Sweet! Have a blessed Easter weekend. Tammy

They are so beautiful! We have one of these feeders too and I am amazed at how they flock around. Our squirrels cannot get to this feeder either and I am glad as they swipe most of our bird seed!

So enjoyable to see them feed!

My goldfinch feeder broke last year during some high winds. I've never heard of a sock feeder! I'm going to look for this! I love goldfinches! They are SO sweet!

looks like great fun...
you live in such a wooded area, it seems like it would be easy to have birds and bird feeders and all that. I have never managed to have one, but think it would be great. A friend in the area had one last year and gave up because Starlings ( I think...they were big mean birds) would kill other birds and steal babies and leave them in her yard. Yikes...that sounds like a science fiction tale, so I may have got it wrong.
