I'll bet most of you are just like me......cut the top part off to eat and throw the rest away.
No More! Not since I found this wonderful tip on Pinterest!
Slice the bottom off
Place in a saucer of warm water, overnight.
Then plant!!! Yes, that is all there is to it. Then wait for your own homegrown celery!
Tomorrow I plant!!!

Too many slugs in the yard. They even crawl into our patio. If we planted anything, the slugs would be all over them. Lol.
well now you know I will have to try that...so cool...
I am looking forward to hearing how this goes!!
Very cool! Thanks for the great tip and for stopping by! Have a Happy Easter!
Neat!!
REALLY?!?!?!? I am SOOOO intrigued!!
We love celery! LOVE! I am addicted to having large amounts of it with Hummus! (peanut butter too!)
Okay...I am gonna try it!
Great tip! I will be trying this (and my dogs will be digging it up- it's a constant battle around here! Ha!)
Interesting about planting the bottom part of the stalk. But do you know what gets me more? In all of my years of eating celery, I have never - not even once - thought to cut the whole bottom piece off like that. I am sitting here laughing at the simplicity and wondering why it never dawned on me. Goodness gracious.
