What is your favorite lettuce? I was raised on iceberg with french dressing! Maybe french dressing was the only one made back in the day....ha. Thousand Island came along and I loved it for years. I have since grown to love hearts of romaine, spring mix and baby spinach with any flavor of balsamic vinegar....yum, yum.

My husband is stuck in the iceberg generation...
If I serve lettuce that has more color than iceberg he will not touch it!
This picture is a very pretty head of lettuce but the ones I have been buying lately barely have a tint of green, ugh, I don't like it!

I will admit PF Changs makes very good use of leaves from iceberg....
Oh the flavor...and I love to add all of the sauces....sweet, hot, spicy, yes!

So what's your combination? Don't you love to eat salad that someone else makes? They always seem to taste better.

OK, off to the kitchen. A friend gave us a breast from wild turkey, gonna try my hand at cooking it, wish me luck!

I like Romaine, and even spinach.

The food at PF Changs is all so good, iceberg lettuce and all.

Good luck with the turkey!

I had a wonderful season with the greens in my garden. Every green thing that I planted grew, grew and is still growing much to my surpise! My favorite this year has to be romaine hearts with homemade hummus, A friend taught me how to make hummus last summer. I wish I had some right now.

I'm with Tootie, a spinach and romaine girl. Yum, I love all dressings. Ranch, TI, green goddess, vinagrette, honey mustard, yum!

I grew up with that delicious leaf lettuce --which Mom and Dad grew in the yard. Then ---I had iceburg most of my adult life--and hated it. Now --I only eat Romaine and/or spinach...

We like anything...but I almost always buy romaine or the spring mix. I, like you, grew up on iceberg and french dressing. Then it turned to Ranch. I'm like Julie..love poppyseed. :)

There isn't a salad green I can think of that I don't like! And, you are so very right... salads ALWAYS seem to taste better if someone else makes them. My favorite salad mix is the herb mix with a raspberry walnut vinaigrette.

I like it all, mixed up or single. It fits just perfect to almost any meal! Now I;'m off to the kitchen to prepare our evening meal, it will be a lasagna with spinach...
Have a happy Tuesday! xx

My son is not in the iceberg lettuce generation. But he said he likes salad...not weeds. Guess what? I don't care. I will make salad for me...meeeee. I hate it that lettuce bags are getting so expensive, so I have started buying red leaf lettuce...now I need a salad spinner.
of course I would rather have someone else make it... and I love basalmic vinegar and olive oil...turns my lips colorful unnatural colors.
