Gadgets

I wish I could chop like a chef. I'm not good with knives. I can't make the uniform cuts that are required....my knives are dull.....blah, blah, blah.

I have no luck at all mashing garlic with a large blade, no, not at all.

All this leads up to me loving my new gadget.

Chef'n

Put clove in, close door, and roll back and forth like rolling a toy car, easy, easy.

Open, shake perfectly chopped garlic out, disassemble and put in dishwasher. I love it.

If you get any garlic on your hands, just rub them on your kitchen faucet to remove the odor. (works for onion too)

Do you have any gadgets you couldn't do without? Share them with me, I (might need one too)ha

Do you remember the Cosby episode about his appliance bone yard? I think of that one every time I buy a new one!

I must confess...I LOVE gadgets! Especially kitchen gadgets. One of my favorites is one I have for peeling oranges. Basically it's just a piece of plastic with a little hook the you stick in the skin of the orange and 'zip' it off.
I like your garlic dodad, I've never seen one like that before.

Don't show this to my husband- the gadget man. He never met a gadget he didn't love. But I don't complain since he also does the cooking, which is why I don't have a favorite gadget, unless dishwashers count. This is kind of cute though.

Oh, isn't that cute! I've never seen one of those! I will say that when I bought a knife sharpener last year, I couldn't believe the difference!

I have never seen one of those, Nanny! I have a pampered chef garlic press that I love, too. Anything to get all that garlic minced up!! LOL! Cause I do love garlic! I'm going to have to keep my eye out for this one.

Do tell where you got this gadget. I think I need one. I have the Pampered Chef garlic press, but this looks like fun, too. One gadget I've heard is great (but I've never tried for myself) is the veggie chopper where you pull the string for the chopping to happen. I think they sell them at Williams-Sonoma. My friend swears by hers.

This is a cute and useful gadget, Nanny!

I have drawersd full of gadgets..lol! I have to admit the simple ones I got when I was first married are the ones I use the most often. Of the new ones I think I love my stick blender the best because I can cream soups right in the pot!

Oh yes, where did you find that? That looks too cool! I'm not a gadget girl...which you could probably tell by my dull can opener x 3 years. :)
