Sounds like fun, let's take the back roads and see what we can see. Let's go north cause they have more snow, it should be pretty.
Highway was ice covered.....
We drove down a familiar road passed a lake we use to fish in "use to"...but that's another story in itself...
See the left turn down the road.....incline.....beware....
It all happened pretty fast, turning to the left, the sliding began....left side of jeep was in the ditch.....no problem....4wh drive...tires spinning...smell of burning rubber....tires spinning...but when I heard these words, "I hope we don't turn over".... I bailed out.....
Turned this way...
Then this way....
And after much spinning...backed out
Leaving a mess....
When we drove away, husband said, "Well you just grabbed Trixie and left me", to which I replied, "Words like turn over, make me abandon ship"! He loved it...all that spinning stuff is a man thing...made me kind of nervous...ha!
Have a good day all, stay warm!

Can't say as I would blame you for bailing out. Safer than flipping over, without helmets.
wow,,, glad yall made it out safe!!!! pretty snow!!!!
Words like snow, spinning, wheels...makes me kinda nervous too!
LOL... I was just going to comment that getting stuck in mud, snow, and ice is such a man thing!
Now that looks like fun!
xo Susie~
I think I'd bail out too. Glad you had your camera with you so we could all enjoy the pictures.
LOL! Oh that's hilarious! Doesn't hubby know that you needed to bail to get good photos for the blog post? Seriously.
Men love that stuff...us gals head for higher ground...LOL...great photos
Thanks for stopping by my blog.....we've got about 12"of snow and it hasn't quite yet!!
Looks like a fun ride...!!??
Stay warm.....LindaMay
LOL! I think bailing was the right thing to do! LOL! Besides... you NEEDED to get the photos for the blog!
Check outwww.betterphotos.com. Amanda and I are thinking of taking another class... but, are going to wait until the weather is better for shooting. =)
Oh My....IF I heard the words "Hope we don't turn over"---I'd be outta there too!!!!! Even with 4-wheel drive, that would be scary.
Looks like you all got the ice also... Where in AR are you??? We love AR--and are going to Mt. Nebo the end of Feb.
I'm enjoying your blog... Hope you come back to mine often.
Hugs,
Betsy
I'm with you and Trixie...besides, who would have taken pictures for your blog if you stayed in the jeep? ha.
Loved the red bird in your tree and of course the scissors (o:
When I was 16 (doesn't seem possible) my best friends Dad had a Willies Jeep (50something). She got to take it for a drive every now and then. We were out driving on country roads that had thick sand on the sides. We got to close to it and we were stuck and slowly tipped over. Yikes. We laughed hard but boy was her dad mad.
It does not take a dummy to realize you might be in trouble. I, too would bail out when I heard those terrifying words. And besides, you would need someone to call 911. You were coving all basis if you ask me.
LOL! Glad you guys made it out ok. (I would have been standing right next to you and Trixie.)
We didn't get near as much ice and snow in the Central part of the state, but the tree coated in ice were so beautiful. As the sun came out today, the trees looked like glass as the ice started to melt a little.
Thanks for stopping by my new blog. I am excited about starting this!
OH MY! I am WITH YOU...I would have been OUTTA there...let Hubbie have the joy ride if that is how he sees it!
Adventure!
