Let's Talk Okra

Fried Okra, doesn't get much better! Notice the package, product of Mexico, packaged in MN, shipped to Arkansas and on my table,,,still fresh and tasty! I would like to commend everyone involved in this process!

Paula Deen has a recipe, which I cannot find to post for you, but she said to drizzle in buttermilk, coat with salt, pepper and meal then fry...Yes! I highly recommend her recipe!

Have a good evening all and Vote For Kris!!!!

I love okra! Fried or raw! Thanks for stopping by my blog! And yes, the teeth cleaning helps so much! No more horrible breath and it helps prevent mouth cancer and stuff. It's kinda expensive $200 but they only need it once a year.

i can't believe you did this to me and can't believe you've never had it Betsy! You need to go to my mom's for fried okra dinner and be sure and tell me the night so I can be there!

I've tried it several times, deep fried, but just never really cared that much for it.

Have you ever heard of rolled okra sandwiches? Paula Deen has one. I have not tried it, but it looks interesting.

I have never had fried Okra but then again I was born and raised in the North in an Italian household but I think I will give this a try this summer. Thanks for sharing and I love to cook and bake.

That is some yummy looking okra!
We use our fried green tomato batter mix for okra. It's great.
