My New Book!

I love my books from Shutterfly! I feel photo albums slowly slipping away. In this day of having pictures on the computer, instead of printing, I was excited to see the book option on shutterfly. After uploading the pictures, I choose the ones I want in the book, pick a background and voila....in a matter of days, the prettiest book arrives in the mail.

This one is the first I ordered after Lila was born;

Then I got number two;

And today I received my Christmas book;

It worries me not to have something as dear as my pictures in my possession but stored on computer...kinda like I want my books, no Kindle for me. I'm sure this obsession has a name but oh well..

When Lila gets older, I can't wait to sit and talk about each picture and tell her a story about that day in time. Then one day I will give them all to her but for now, Nanny is enjoying them very much.

I am going to go through my older pictures and make books for other family members...
Wouldn't it be great to have every school year in a book....or sports....or vacations...Thank you Shutterfly, Good Job!

oh wow! I didn't know you could order books. I don't like only having my pictures on the computer either. I was scrapbooking, but that's takes too long.

Your books of Lila look precious! I'd love to see them in person! I owe Noni one for her Christmas present. I need to get on that little project! Luckily I'll have more time now! Ha!

Oh that is so great. Great idea. And can make into nice precious meaningful gifts too. I don't think we have that service available here yet but it may come. Having pictures on the computer meaning they'll be lost and forgotten some day. Unlike photo albums, you bumped into memories as you clean the house.

I have been wanting to do this for a few years now but I'm scared! It's too intimidating! I wish you were my neighbor so you could sit here with me and be my personal tutor! I need one trust me!

My SIL is Shutterfly's biggest customer and has made gorgeous books and Christmas cards. I'd ask her to show me the tricks of the trade but she's a know it all personality type and it wouldn't be fun, trust me!

I'm with you...I want my pictures in my HAND! The books are perfect and FAST. I just did my first big one with our Mexico trip. I love it!

You HAVE to have SOMETHING in hand to show of your lovely new grandaughter!!

What a wonderful idea. Our one daughter made one for us and we love it. She said it's very easy to do. I guess someday I will just have to set down and do one.

I know...
I want real hard copy pictures
what if the whole computer world thingie crashes...where will our pictures be?
I don't know what the disorder is called
but I want pics in books
I have not ordered a big one, but I have got smaller flip books. Fill them with pics of just one girlie and they love it for a BD present

Nanny~ so funny, because I have spent hours going through boxes of photos that were in my Dad's stuff. I have wondered what to do with them.
Now I know!
Thank you, Thank you my friend!
