Today seemed to be the day for wildlife...
Everyday there seems to be more geese than the day before!!! They are coming closer and closer to the house.....I am not sure that is a good thing. If you have every been around geese you know the mess they make...
The deer came out of the woods for a drink.....
Aren't they sweet?
After quenching their thrist, they scampered over the levee. See the mom looking back at me? She could hear me snapping shots of them....always a watchful eye.
The water level was to the top of the levee....until summer ...!
One summer it looked like a puddle instead of a pond and would you believe the catfish survived? Poor things!
Hang in there guys....fall....and rain will be here soon (hopefully)

Oh Nanny, you ain't lyin', the heat IS ridiculous! How much longer can this go on? We need some relief & some rain!!!
Are you sure, Nanny????? It's been a very long, dry and horribly hot summer here ---the worst we have had since we moved here in 2003. I cannot wait for Fall and hopefully, cooler weather....
Love seeing your wildlife though.... Our deer around here are around more, looking for something to eat and drink. They come into our backyard and drink from the birdbath at nights...
I've heard how messy the geese can be... They are pretty --but messy.
