It's Apple Time!

I love it when Honeycrisp hits the stores.....The combination of sweet and tart is just what I like. And oh they are so crisp! That's always been a requirement for me. I remember our fruit bowl always had fingernail marks on the apples....I was searching for the crisp one! (awful wasn't I) I don't have to poke these apples, they are all perfect!

What's your favorite apple?

Sweet.......Tart.......Mellow......

Delicious.....Rome......Gala.......Granny Smith......

If you haven't tried Honeycrisp, you really should while they are in stores. The season doesn't last long. They can be stored in the refrigerator 3 to 4 months!!! That's a great reason to buy them!

I love to slice them and eat with slices of cheddar or a spoon of natural peanut butter....yummy!

Have a great day

Nanny

I like sweet. What is the best "sweet" apple? Would love to know. I'm going to check on the Honey Crisp and give them a taste test. I've never had one.

I love any kind of honey crisp apple...some stores have other names but it always has crisp in it. MY FAV ... but usually so expensive. My addiction is that apple with natural peanut butter (I love Smuckers). I frequently eat that for a meal... but like all things that you are crazy about the taste... I never know when to STOP (o:
Yesterday my 2 youngest Grand girls and I picked some apples from my sisters tree. They would not stop eating them. I kept expecting to get a call that night about a stomach ache... yikes.

That fingernail poking cracks me up. All those years I saw the pokes and didn't know where they came from. I never wanted to eat the ones with pokes thinking they had a worm or something. Then years later, at my house, you fess up when I catch you poking. Now, I know when you have been in my apple bowl and not too long ago I saw a poke at the grocery store and thought...Nanny? have you been shopping here? Ha!
