Fresh Asparagus

asparagus 034 by tempstarman
I love fresh asparagus.

I tried a new sauce for it and can't stop eating it.  I baked the asparagus in a 400 degree oven for approximately 12 minutes.  Just long enough to cook it somewhat but still have that good crunch.  Melt 2 T of butter, add 1 T soy sauce, (I use the low sodium), 1 tsp balsamic vinegar (I love the white one) and drizzle over the asparagus.  Delicious.  I put the remaining sauce by my plate and dip mine in it.  The combination of flavors really suits my taste buds.  Anything with balsamic on it or in it makes my mouth water.

ummm I love asparagus and I enjoy new ways of preparing. I've still got a house full of company and I'm getting ready to get more groceries. I think this may be part of dinner tonight. Thanks!!!

Oh yes! We'll try it but with olive oil instead of butter.

Sounds and looks great!!! I usually steam asparagus in the microwave on high for 3 minutes. And eat it plain. Love it!
