Now What?
No, I'll have to admit this isn't my refrigerator. I'm not nearly that good at arranging and stacking the leftovers. In the first place I have many bowls but none of my many lids seem to fit......what's up with that?
I wish I knew how many times I have turned the dishwasher on in the last 4 days. I'm sure if it could speak it would be yelling, "Give Me A Break".
We have eaten all we care to eat of it all and the rest is.....going! I made turkey salad sandwiches for lunch (pretty good) and I think that about wraps up the leftovers.
I tried a recipe for the turkey that I got from The Chew. It was the best turkey I have ever made. So moist and juicy. I will definitely use it from now on. If you would like to read it, go to thechew.com. It is the one Michael Symon made. He soaked cheesecloth in melted butter/chicken broth/herbs and covered the turkey with it while baking. Then I also took Rachael Ray's hint of wrapping the pan after removing from oven, tightly with foil and laying a big bath towel over it all and let it rest for an hour. I am bad about not letting meat rest and I think that might have been a big factor in the moistness.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a restful weekend. We enjoyed ours very much (except the game)
Rain is falling and the temperature is reportedly going to follow..... Winter is approaching! 65 today and 43 tomorrow...wow!

Funny :)
Refrigerator to me is a short resting place for leftovers before they move into the disposal. Happy weekend Granny.
We had a late Thanksgiving dinner as my husband had to work. However, we have just finished up the third "cycle" of leftovers...just enough for hubby to take a turkey sandwich to work Sunday! I think we are turkey-ed out.
Good tips on the turkeys!! I have never seen anything Michael Simon made that I didn't think I would love! ;)
So sorry about the game. I was thinking about you yesterday. Bummer.
We are getting to spend the day with the Little Men tomorrow! Cutting a tree... brrrrr... wish the cold front had held out for one more day! The hot chocolate will sure be good though! ;) blessings ~ tanna
Just getting caught up after being so far behind! I am so eager to see if you have any updates on the washing machine situation. We have a front loader, and it smells awful. I'd never buy another one. I've eyed the one like you got - how's it holding up now that you're keeping the door open? Also, have you tried the Afresh tablets? Our Target carries them next to the detergent, and they really seem to help. Would probably have been good to use from the very beginning to stay out ahead of the smell.
Hope you all had a fantastically wonderful Thanksgiving! We're excitedly moving right into Christmas. Yay!!
How wonderful that Thanksgiving was warmer for you and that the turkey turned out perfectly. We had a great turkey too. My brother and sister-in-law did a terrific job! I wish they'd do it next year. I usually brine ours now.
I didn't do any Thanksgiving food at all this year. From what I've been told, all the turkeys in the market were scooped up fast. I don't eat meat anymore anyways, but would usually order one for the boys and make sides. Today I was doing a cleanup and organizing spree and came across my Fall/Thanksgiving decor that I never put out. But, I put it out today and figure I can still get a good week or so out of it before I switch to Christmas decorations. :) Hope your day is good. Tammy
What nice ideas for the turkey. My secret for a juicy turkey is using an oven bag to roast the bird in. Also, Butterball brand of turkey is the best.
Mom put apple & orange slices in w/ the turkey... I forget where she said she heard that from, but it worked... the turkey was very very very good! =)
I have the same problem...either too many lids and not enough bowls..or too many bowls and not enough lids...it is cold here...
Your turkey sounds delicious! Moist turkey is wonderful.
Our fridge looks like that too! :) I am a new follower of your blog! :) Erin
